The Leaven Project North PACE Tutoring Center is an outreach ministry focused on meeting the educational needs of the children K-12 in the North PACE neighborhood.

We minister to all ages but we have primarily worked with grades K-6 and a handful of junior high. We aid children in their homework that they receive from school as well as provide grade-appropriate worksheets when homework is not assigned.

We believe that God has called us to help educate children, who have primarily Spanish speaking parents, and show them Christ-like love that in just that God would give us opportunities to share the gospel with them through establishing relationships one on one.

Leaven Project Mission Statement
Our Outreach Goal:
To transform communities into Christ’s likeness through acts of mercy and love.

The Leaven Project Mission:
Our goal is to reach children and influence parents through the medium of education for the purpose of discipleship.

We believe that through establishing relationships with children through education primarily, we have the chance to influence their families, by our examples of love and servant hood, working alongside them to help change their community. We believe that as Christians we have to earn the right to share the gospel, we earn this privilege by showing them Jesus’ love through actions and then in time follow up our actions with words of truth and love. We desire to reflect Jesus in the way He established relationships with all those he came in contact with, while meeting their needs as He spoke truth into their lives.

When it meets:
The Tutoring Center is open Monday through Thursday from 3pm until 5pm. We are not open Fridays because most children do not receive homework, in elementary school, to get done over the weekend. Sometimes we have events on the weekends or on a Friday, such as a baseball game or a girls/guys only event to build community among the kids.

Where it meets:
We meet at 2397 Heath Drive in Fairfield, in the portables right behind Parkway Community Church.
